In today’s article, the focus will be on an English exam which has become a top requirement when choosing to pursue a career in an English-speaking country or to study in an English-speaking university. We are referring to the TOEIC Exam.

The TOEIC is made up of 4 skills

Those students who are interested in taking up the TOEIC preparation course need to be informed that this exam consists of 4 skills, namely, Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. At ALC-com-international we will prepare you well for each one of these 4 skills. The TOEIC is used by companies and schools as an indication of the level of professional English. Large companies use this test directly in their recruiting methods. With appropriate preparation, you will master the tactics that will help you get a better score.

Here is some important course information:

Duration of the course

3 weeks (subject to prior level). It is recommended to have a B1 level before starting a TOEIC strategic preparation course.

Registration deadline

As soon as possible because places are limited (8 people max. / Class and level), but at the latest 2 weeks before the start date of the course. Course Start dates 2021: May 4, June 1, July 6, August 3, September 7, October 5, November 2.

Entry requirements

The entry condition for the course is the passing of the evaluation test of ALC-cominternational Intermediate level 1 (B1) is required to be able to follow this course the minimum age required is 16 years and over.

Class structure

6 to 9 hours per week - Duration: 3 weeks

CEFR levels

B1 to B2 recommended. TOEIC accessible to all levels from A1 to C2

What can you expect to achieve by the end of this course?

By the end of the course, you will have acquired a number of skills necessary to pass the TOEIC exam, such as:

  • Listen or read a text to find the main idea or to obtain specific information
  • You will be able to identify the structure of a text, determine the meaning of words and deduce the meaning from the context
  • You will learn how to produce different types of writing, such as letters, reports, reviews and essays
  • You will be able to speak fluently using a wide range of vocabulary to express your ideas
  • You will do 2 full mock tests to make sure you receive as much practice as possible and as early as possible
  • You will receive regular feedback from your teachers on how to improve your skills
  • Weekly writing tasks and progress tests will be taken to review the grammar and vocabulary you have studied each week
  • You will develop strategies to answer questions within the required timeframe
  • You will learn to strategically and efficiently organize your answers so as not to waste time and focus on the strengths of the TOEIC.
